400EX?

Just waiting to part out peices of the blaster, then clean the frame up and sell that. Then comes a 400ex.
They are reliable quads.But if you plan on modding it I would go with a 2-stroke.The pipes are atleast double the price and all aftermarket parts are more money.A trx 250R would be a better choice.IMO
I've had enough with two strokes for now... Next machines are Yz250f and a 400 sport quad. After a $2,000 rebuild, I'm ready to go back to four pokes. Its not even about modding it anymore. I plan on buying a semi-modded one with a-arms, and maybe a swinger and pipe.
There pretty reliable. That was my other choice but now that i look at it, i dont even know how it was a desicion between that and a raptor =D If you get it youll be really happy. There nice quads. Have you considered a 450r?
I don't have much money to be spending... Thats exactly what I was thinking, wth does tlc mean? It looks mint. The thing about the raptor is that I know something bad would happen on it.
Not to be mean but if you spent $2000 on a rebuild you got taken.How could it possibly cost that much.2 grand should get you suspension,a-arms,and a rebuild.Maybe even more.The one thing I like most about the blasters is that parts are cheap and I can rebuild a complete motor in about the time it takes to drink a 6 pack.lol
raptors are pretty good till the rod and crank start knocking.Common problem with them and they are not a cheap fix.
iv always heard good things about the 400ex, never had one but my buddy has an 05 and he loves it! And not to start a fight or anything, but if it says HONDA on it, then its probally gonna be pretty reliable! All makes have reliable machines, just seems like almost every one honda makes is reliable! But u cant go wrong with a 400ex if u just want a nice trail bike to sputter around on! as long as u dont rip urself off on a deal! the z400 is also a nice bike, which i think mod for mod is better than the EX but i also dont think there as reliable! just my opinon
Ohh I know I got taken for a ride, but I'm not swapping no crank out lemme tell you that right now. I would just rather not have to worry about the two stroke side of things... I just want a nice, reliable, faster, quad.
400ex is a sweet quad. Great with wheelies and stuff like that. Not so much for the drag racing.
It's a great 4 wheeler in my opinion. It pops wheelies easily if doing tricks is your thing and for around $400 you could have yourself an nice 4 poke. True it's not exactly the most powerful 4 wheeler out there but my friend has put his through absolute hell and its still runnin strong. I say go for it if you got the $
