400EX?

iv always heard good things about the 400ex, never had one but my buddy has an 05 and he loves it! And not to start a fight or anything, but if it says HONDA on it, then its probally gonna be pretty reliable! All makes have reliable machines, just seems like almost every one honda makes is reliable! But u cant go wrong with a 400ex if u just want a nice trail bike to sputter around on! as long as u dont rip urself off on a deal! the z400 is also a nice bike, which i think mod for mod is better than the EX but i also dont think there as reliable! just my opinon

totally agree with you. ive had every vehicle in the main Honda car family Accord,Civic,Crx and Prelude and they would all take hell and just keep going. They're slogan Best on Earth says alot.

400ex is a sweet quad. Great with wheelies and stuff like that. Not so much for the drag racing.

agreed as well. ive never ridden one but a friend of mine had one and he said it was easy as hell to get a wheel on and easy as hell to lose to a Banshee lol

I've had enough with two strokes for now... Next machines are Yz250f and a 400 sport quad. After a $2,000 rebuild, I'm ready to go back to four pokes. Its not even about modding it anymore. I plan on buying a semi-modded one with a-arms, and maybe a swinger and pipe.

again i know im a newb but if you say a $2000 rebuild is making you go to the dark side of the stroke what are you gonna do when it comes time to rebuild the 4 stroke? come back to 2? and $2000? when you paid that $2000 did Paul Turner actually come to your house to do the work or no? =)) Just effin with you man. yea the ex all suck air cooled slower or all 400s and if ure gettin a 4storke atv i recomend suzuki or kawaski even though most of yall hate them

my buddy had a 400ex and he beat the living hell out of that thing and it never broke..i think there a great quad thats my opinion.

I had a 99 400ex. Never let me down. I beat on it hard and had to fix things here or there, but it never left me stranded. True, its a little slower than a liquid but its a great bike. I wouldnt stick a ton of money in one to try to beat a z400. Just add some goodies to make it your own and ride it hard.

I have an 02, and it has never let me down once. More than fast enough stock (esp over a blaster) and easily modified.

I have ridden alot of differnt quads and would take the 400 over alot of them. Not going to say it is the best out there, but as an over all sport quad it is great.
