290 jet to big?

I have a 98 blaster with air box led removed.k&n filter.baffle took out stock silencer.wiesco piston .20 over.and tors removed.oil injector block kit just order it waiting for it to get here so I can ride lol.i just found a 290 jet from one of my old sleds.an my blaster had a 230 in it.will the 290 be to big I haven't started it yet waiting for oil inj block kit.oil pump stop.i caught it just in time bc it blew top head gasket piston and rings still good I just put those couple weeks ago.so I just put new gaskets on.any how will that be to big of a main jet?i also have a bigger pilot jet should I put that in to?
 
#270 to #290 main should be ok, plug chop to confirm.

If it runs a little rich, swap to 25:1 pre mix to compensate until you can get a smaller jet.

Leave the stock #32.5 pilot in there.

Needle in the middle slot.

Set the float level and adjust the idle as per specs and all should be hunky dory.
