Hey All!
It seems like i've made a great find on good ol Craigslist. The guy had this motor sitting in his garage from years ago and just wanted it gone. Paid 50 bucks so how could you go wrong. He had a ton of paper work, so i got some info on it. The motor is (from what i can tell) a stock cylinder punched out to a 240. Fresh bore and hone. It came with a new 72.45 piston and rings never installed. (Not sure what kind.)The head is cut and re-chambered .020. The lower end is a long rod set up with a spacer plate. The paper work is from Trenga and says its stage 3 port and polish. Any body have any experience with Trenga motors? I'd like to know more about it and what kind of long rod it has. The spacer plate measures 4.7 mm . Any help or info would be great.

Post some more pics. Intake port, the head, the rod and Clean the cylinder with dawn and post more pics to judge If that cross hatching is still in good condition.

here are some pics you were asking for. I haven't had time to wash the cylinder but ill get on that tomorrow. as for as the rod, I Googled the 2t2 and it came up as a rd400 rod . according to the data i read the rd400 has a 62mm stroke. so that would make this a 5mm long rod. does that sound right? anybody ever heard of this?

I've built several of these engines. It's a Banshee 5mm long rod. If it's stroked, it's probably a 4mm stroke.
Sweet man how did they run? Is there anything special when building them compared with a blaster rod? The reason i ask is i need a wrist pin and bearing to reassemble.

The RD400 rod and the Banshee+5 rod are the same thing other than the size of the small end. The ID is smaller on the RD rod. Make sure you get the bearing for the RD rod and you’ll be fine. From the looks of the head, and your reported thickness of the spacer plate, the crank is a stock stroke. Make sure you check the squish. My guess is it’s going to be around 2mm if the cylinder hasn’t been decked. I got about 100 hours out of mine before the intake side of the piston cracked. Your cylinder still has the intake bridge so I’m going to assume you have a Vitos piston. I removed the bridge and used a Woosner piston on mine. No doubt, a great deal you have there my friend.

here's some pics of the piston . I'm trying to look it up . not sure but i think its ether a wiesco or worrener . the numbers on the intake side top of the piston are a49a0. The middle top of the piston reads 8002 72.45mm

Thanks a bunch. It was a first for me . Usually I'm always too late on those sort of deals... lol Hey do you know of a pin that's the same size diameter as the blaster but a little longer. The blaster pin fits , but it seems short.
