240+ engine kit?

i was under the impression the ct cylinder uses a cr style reedcage, which should give a signifigant gain in itself, a sleeved stock cylinder will not have that ????

YES the CT uses a bigger 250r reedcage and the LA sleeve looks to be the same........:)

I like the Vitos crank and rod, but who has stories about the Hot Rod cranks and rods? I got a motor with the Hot Rod rod on a stock crank and the bearing went to crap in a short bit of time and the Wiesco piston on it broke the skirts off.I know it was a high RPM that got the skirts, but I have heard of others being against the Hot Rod bottom ends.

if its a wossner, then it'll be fine

it is a wossner

let me make this clear...

THE CT SONIC 240 KIT IS MADE BY LA SLEEVE... CT just sells it for 300 beans more and claims to have developed it... yet they did not...

this is the case of most of CTs products... cough cough power pros pipe

if the DT swap falls through...i'll have to get one of those LA cylinders

i hear ya man, i have a complete DT motor in my hands and its still a pain. right now i need a servo motor, im almost thinkin of pinning the power valve, its frustrating... better be worth it haha

yeah i think i wanna get a vitos +3 crank when i get some cash, and get the porting and head machining done at the same time.... i thought i was surprised with a .040 bore... then i was surprised with all the other mods, how quick it is now..... i can only imagine what another 11cc's and porting and head machining will make me think....

CT did develop it and LA sleeve does do the CASTING of it. Why would CT start a CASTING divison just to make a 240 blaster cylinder and head??

CT adverties there cylinder kit for $995.00 with a wossner piston, and LA sleeve adverties there kit for $923.00 and $598.00, and i dont know what kind of piston is in the LA kit, but i guess its the same.. Im assumeing LA did a price drop in did not change all the pricing.. Hopefully CT will drop ther price to..

no, CT did not develop the sonic 240, airsal and trenga racing originally did and then the rights to produce it were sold to LA sleeve when trenga went under

CT then jumped on the band wagon by offering to "port it" (which is really just cleaning up the casting flaws)

now, airsal also has a 230 kit... im guessing this is because they couldnt produce the original 72mm sonic.. it however has the same port layout (besedes the bigger CR intake)... but uses a 71mm piston
