I'm a newbie with the blaster bought a 96 that is suppose to have 240bbk w/wiesco piston. My question is how can I check what work has been done to the engine. I ran it today alot of fun only thing is that it's delayed on low rpms I rev it up and it's a rocket

My stock topend seems to have alot of torque and no powderband till about third gear, then its keep it on the pipe from there up.

well if you want to know if it has a big bore it its easy look at the top of the piston there will be a bunch of numbers and leater the laster 4 number is the piston size if it 66.00 to 68.25 its a stock top end meaning no big bore big bore size is 72.00 to 73.00 is big bore the number (EX) (347m6600) so see what you have and let us know good luck man

Hey thanks for the info. I'm trying my best not to sound retarded but checking piston numbers does that mean I have to take the head apart, I did that in a caddy once I never drove it again.

ya it super easy gas tank comes off then 6 bolts the head gas kit will be fine bring the piston up to top dean get some red 3M and lightly clean the piston till you can see the numbers DO NOT SURE SAND PAPER and then you will know what your working with I:I

as long as the head gaskit is not bad you can reuse it i have used mine for a long time and have never had a problem

Sweet I will check Id#. Ok so if in fact it is a 240 what else should have been changed, that way I can make sure it's not half ass I know it's got a toomy exhaust kit but that's it.

umm i guess make sure it has been jeted look at the color of the plug make sure this is dun right if the plug is brown to black your ok if it is a dark gray to gray you need to add flue meaning rich in it up I:I
