Also why would he trade for a quad that needs carb work if he can't fix his. Good luck my friend. My advice would be to take a compression tester and check the vin.

Sweet. Well hopefully it works out for ya. I just built a banshee and have only rode it twice. NOWHERE near as good as a blaster in tight trails.
Not to put ur trade down. BUT....
Like wife's said! There's only a couple reasons why people ONLY want text. Most common for Craigslist is stolen.

He's obviously oblivious to quads. He knows nothing about bikes and most Likely he had to look your blaster up to know about it. Witch means he would have probably got a Craigslist post and found out exactly how much they go for.
That being said...
IMO He's trying to get rid of this machine for fast and cheap ( or trade for anything) because
A) Its got a lot of problem. ( with this idiot it could be anything)
B) Its stolen.
C) Hes trying to make the deal enticing to people so they will come out and look and he can rob you. ( witch is quite a bit more common on Craigslist then you would think)
Either way I personally don't see this being a good deal in the long run.
Like wife's said take a comp tester, and your dad. ( maybe get one of ur dads " connects" to run that vin for u it would be the most accurate)
Make sure u take a GOOD test drive to... You don't want to inherit a whole bunch of other peoples problems.
sounds fishy to me but you never know I bought a banshee for $100 guy started to take stuff off to clean the carbs couldn't put it back together called me I was riding it in an hour or 2

Checked Craigslist EVERY day, even twice a day. (have some money saved up too, that way you can hit up the cheap ones I:I)
There was a 06 blue blaster by me with an LRD pipe (non-adjustable) for 600, guy said no problems. It was gone in 4 hours. I called him at about that time and no answer, next morning it was gone.
