yamaha moto 4 problem

This is the only forum i belong to but i got a moto 4 if anyone can help with it. Its a 1985 yamaha moto 4. It runs for about 10 minutes starts spitting fire out the pipe, sounds like firecrackers, then slowly chokes out. Let it sit for five minutes then it runs for 10 minutes then the same thing over and over again. Anyone know where i should start checking? Only mod on it is .50 over bore. Thanks, Matt.

oh the old motot 4 they are beasts to get goin basically its to much gas gettin flooded into pipe blowin yur flames so u gotta have less gas

yea if its 4 stroke you should have an ajustment screw somewheres on the carb like a car i think??
