hello all i picked up an engine yesterday and something about it seemed odd the casting markers on the side read like normal 195cm but next to it is y-2 all of the other 3 cylinders i have had my hands on were y-1 and have only heard of a couple people say anything about a y-2 here are some picks if anyone know anything about it im going to get it measured and checked later today but was curious

that looks as bone stock as they come, but you are right i am familiar with the Y-1 markings. Vito's dont have anything on them apart from the 195cm

Probably nothing their just numbers............mabey like a regional or production modle number like the 88-02 and 03-06 series changes.

i figured it was stock i was just unsure of the y-2 because why would they have two castings for the cylinder you would want only one master so there would be no chance of differences.but it doesnt matter because she was beyond the last bore so its time to find a new cylinder my machinist said he would sleeve it for 75 plus parts which was a nice deal but i found a new cylinder for less so it will sit on the parts pile till i get bored of it staring at me.

I have a y-2 jug, new std piston. It blew the crank seal....I replaced it aligned the dots on the crank gear and the counter balance gear. But ... it vibrates like crazy. Do I need to offset the dots to counter the size of the new piston? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks

I thought they did but it is vibrating. I was told it was a "true" 240. I'm new to this guys please bear with me. Any suggestions?

this has nothing to do with my org topic i was just asking if there was a difference as i had never seen a y-2 or heard anyone say anything, and this person tried tread jacking start yo own punk j/k lol
