recently purchased balster from police auction.had running for few minutes and went to hit gas and bike would bog down and die out. removed all lighting wiring. im a thie point where getting spark but wont start.also the tors was taking off of the bike. not sure what to do. is there maybe a box or something .

When my stator went bad, Id still get a really weak spark, but nothing I did made it start. I could pull a plug and check spark and it would be there, but it was super weak.

Stator is relatively easy to test. Just disconnect the orange wire from the coil and connect it to the positive of a digital multimeter. You should get 7-12 volts when you kick it.

If you get 7-12 volts when kicking, your stator is OK, and your issue is likely your ignition coil is the culprit.

But keep in mind this is all generalization, and with these things it could be anything like you ran out of gas (had that happen to me too, there was fuel in the tank, but not enough to get to flow, even on reserve), or your car is clogged up with crap, etc.

If you want to be thorough, check the electrical stuff I mentioned first, and then see what happens. I have the blaster service manual in PDF I can host for you to download (I know there are other links to download it around here somewhere too, thats where I found it), and it has specific stuff to check.

Good luck.
