i got a 02 blaster that i just rebuilt and it wont idle. if you give it a little throttle when kicking it starts right up but you have to keep tapping the gas to keep it going. i cleaned the carb good and checked all the fittings everything was good. i tried turning the air screw from 1/2 to 3 turns out and when i turn the screw on the top to the right it doesnt do anything and will just continue to turn. is the screw suppose to stop at some point. i think i might have to go up one the pilot jet? any suggestions on this

02 blaster
fmf fatty and fmf silencer
ebay air filter with lid on
240 main
32.5 pilot
stock needle height

so should i try a 35 pilot?

i think youres supposed to rejet with aftermarket exhaust whats colors plug?tried with the top off?

i dont know how the plug looks cause when i bought it it needed a new top end.
according to fmf website it should be 260 main stock pilot and 3rd clip with lid removed. if i remove the lid it dont help. i have not revved it passed half throttle but with the lid on it revs stong, bogs real bad with the lid off. i just need to get this idle figured out.

what size pilot are you guys running. what clip is the needle on STOCK?

I have a 2003 blaster and im running a 260 main jet with the needle at the 4th clip and the air screw one and half turns out. also the next size up pilot jet would be a 30 but get the bike running and have someone turn the idle screw all the way right and adjust down from there. If this doesn't work then im thinking your idle screw is either stripped our your tors system is shot.

so your saying to go leaner with the pilot? im thinking the idle screw is broke cause i can just keep turning it right. i dont think its the tors cause if i unplug it by the carb it bogs real bad when i try to rev it.

No he means go richer with the pilot. The screw should stop. If not its probably stripped out. The screw on top of my tors broke off. So i bought a vitos cap, cable and idle kit.

your sig says you have a 240 main 230 is stock go the the 260 if you dont have it in already thats what im at i have stock pipes.unhook tors from the front and by the carb under the hood its a little black box with a black wire and black and yellow wire

when i got it it was just parts in a box so i havent rode it yet to check the jetting.

i took the cover off the tors and the idle screw is trashed. i assume that when you turn the screw that plunger is suppose to move in and out but mine does nothing. i picked up the tors removal kit with the idle screws so that should fix my problem. i used to have a banshee that i needed to remove the tors cause i added a twist throttle, is it basically the same to install as the blaster.

THANKS FOR THE HELP GUYS
