air leaks= kaboom! read up dude, its a 2 stroke and they are touchy. bu you can make some serious power if you want.

Being a newbie, he obviously didn't have time to read up. He was so excited with his new refurbed toy he just wanted to go tear up some earth. Unfortunately, this is one of those situations where it would have been wiser to ask for permission, rather than to ask for forgiveness....especially at this forum. You guys are tough. I:I Anyhow, welcome SemperFi. Good luck with the next rebuild, and all these guys here are very knowledgeable....although, rather sarcastic. Just ask the questions, give precise answers and learn how to attach photos....these guys think this is PlayboyForum, all they do is read for the pictures, not the articles, but they can and usually do give good advice. LOL.

So is that one day ride on original purchase or on new piston? Why did it need new piston? Was it bored for new piston or old bore?

It was a one day ride on the old piston then it lost compression...and for the record I have been riding quads for years but never paid attention to all the engineering part of it my dad normally would take our ahit to the shop so I have to learn this sh*t on my own

Don't worry bro, I've been riding on and off for years, pretend to be a Mechanical Engineer from 8-5 Mon-Fri and these guys are still my go to for questions. There is just so much that goes into these things, most definitely why your Dad would take them to the guy who got paid to work on them. Best thing about these Blasters, if ya need parts, check out Ebay, it's like a Blaster Bone Yard and if you're patient, you can get some good deals. Even if you've smoked the Engine and it's FUBAR, you can find parts, they're a dime a dozen. Good luck. I:I
