Wiseco ring rotation?

did you check the ring gap when you installed them? maybe the gap was a little on the tight side and they butted up? just trying to figure out how the ends flattened out like that

i did check them and although i cant remember the figures they did seem to be fine although they were pretty tight, perhaps i made a balls-up when i checked them. the rings and the piston are a matching set, i thought maybe they were inconsistently sized. the wiseco piston box says a clearance on 0.050mm, between bore and piston. thats pretty hard to measure but the piston was a very snug fit, it would slide thru slowly and wouldnt go in upside down. is that right? i thought it a bit tight but 0.050mm is really a split hair! as for ring gap i checked that and was happy. but maybe i messed up there...?

Just got all the info on this cylinder. From the calculations and figures that I received...........011” piston clearance on a new bore. Chalk another one up for “The local machine shop”! How much did they charge you to F up your cylinder and new piston? I charge $45 to do it right.

I took a blaster cylinder into a local machine shop (which I wouldn't go back to with my cylinder) and told him I was looking to figure out what the next bore size. The guy asked me what the next size up piston was and how much piston to cylinder clearance it was supposed to run. I told him I thought the machine shop was supposed to tell me those things.
