I was riding my 2002 blaster and it just died on me. I changed the plug and it fired up but smoked white like crazy and just didnt stop smoking white then it died again. Now it feels like it turns over rough when you kick it? what can be my problem?
Most likely crank seal on clutch side. Before you take anything apart do a leakdown test to determin where it is leaking, it may not be crank seal. Seals usually come in sets of left and right, even if not replace both.
I agree with blasterdemon. Blew the skirt, it blew a hole through the crankcase. Now its burning crankcase oil, and the piston skirt is being chewed up in the crankcase.
Don't need to get a new one. Get that engine apart, send the cases off to get repaired. Then get the cylinder bored to the next size with a new piston. You'll probably need a replacement crank too.
That's about $350 right there. A whole new engine can cost you $600+
Do a leakdown test BEFORE you take anything apart, it will help narrow you problem down. It could be broken skirt causing broken case or it could just be the seal. A Clymers manual or linc to download manual will guide you through it.
Take your exhaust off and you carb/ reeds. Turn the piston to TDC and you will be able to see the skirts on both sides of the piston. Feeling ruff when you kick it over makes me thing there's pieces of piston being ground around when your kicking it over. It would still show good compression because it's the bottom part of the piston that broke off. The upper parts with the rings are the part of piston that gives you compression.
