im looking to upgrade my suspension... no money for works or elkas all the way around so im thinkin a set of works or progressives on the front. but for the rear im just gonna get a used one. which do you guys recommend for trail riding, which is easiest to install, which is the best over all. looking at 450r, 400ex, trx250r rear shocks, or any other ones you guys like. B) thanks

400 EX is the Best bang for the buck for sure.Banshee Fronts are a good Improvement on the front for minimal cash.

there is a guy on the forsale tread with a set of rebuilt progressives for 170. i would hit him up. i think it is buried but pretty sure he stilll has them

I love my 400ex shock, night and day difference, and there are also some works triple rate fronts for pretty cheap in the for sale thread, but i think you need +3+1 a-arms to run them

Do you need to screw with the airbox to make the shock (resivoir) fit? I thought I saw that around here someplace.

Sounds good...opinions on which to switch over first? Banshee fronts or 400ex rear? Can't do both at the same time unfortunately but I'll get there eventually.

i would do the fronts first to help with control over nasty bumps. i have my banshee fronts set at one notch above full soft and im about 200lbs

Figured that would be the answer... Thanks for the replies, time to start scrounging pennies.
