I am back on the hunt for the jet needles I need for my pwk 35 and went on ebay these are the ones I found but can't decipher the letters.my question is out of all the needles listed which is the closest to the bgn I need I'm not opposed to being a little rich.here's what I found dgh,dgj,cej,cel,cgh,cgk,dgk,cgl,del,ceg,deg,dej those are what are listed on ebay.I don't mind being a little rich.are any of these close to the bgn I originally ordered?

i switched to a dgh needle in my 34mmpj, made a huge difference over the kgl that was in there
not sure on the 35 pwk

my opinion is that it's the flow the motor is capable of that detemines needle and jet sizes, more than the carb itself, so if the dgh works so good for my 34, i dont see why it wouldnt work on your 35, 1mm isnt that much airflow difference
im not contradicting AWK just tossing my needle into the mix, CEL is what i have in my 34mm. i think freek just changed his needle in his 35PWK, mabey shoot him a message??
The CGL is the closest. Little less taper, same length, little less diameter. It will run richer.
You should still try Sudco.com and carbparts.com, calling the phone #s is best. They might have the BGN you are looking for, or even that BGP.

im running the CE L in mine and its now perfect, i could send ya the DE K that was in there, its a really rich needle, but its urs if ya want it bro
go to the sudco site there is a chart and if you study it ,you will learn alot about needles and where i n the powerpsread they change things ,keihin pwks are awesome carbs but becuase of their high tunability characteristics they can also make it easy to be a mile off on jetting .pj is more outdated and not nearly as good as pwk for a variety of reasons ..but they generally use similar jetting as long as the bore and slide are similar in size.a BGN needle is too lean id go to the "c" series (first letter of the 3 )and fine tune ,typically a CEL or CGL should be close for most guys unless you have subpar intake velocity

but after reading this, and what denny had to say, this all makes sense, my piston was so carboned up from the "dgh" needle, but it didnt smoke very much at all ????, so i may be headed for the "c" series needle too.

Ok now I'm stepping into uncharted area ii don't know these carbs or this kdx 200 too well to make ann educated guess here.but I will tell you what I know and hopefully you can determine what ill need.this is an 89 kdx 200 with a new (I checked it out its clean in there) top end wiseco I was told but he couldn't remember how far it was bored,with a dyno port header,a pro circuiit silencer,and an unknown set of reeds that have 3 petals top and bottom,with a uni filter and holes drilled in the siide of the airbox as well as no lid (idk iif they even come with lids but if it did it ain't there).and its also turning colder here now 50s at night 80ish daytime.so out of the ones I listed that are availible what size do you guys recommend for my mods?I'm not opposed to being a little rich id feel better safer than sorry.thanks you guys are as always a ton of help!
I ordered a cgl and a cel off ebay I like the idea of it being a little riicher.but id still like to hear your opinions based on my mods?
i beleive this thread was leaning towards needles used for a blaster motor, you should stick with whatever one that kdx calls for, not the ones listed above for blasters

I guessing the guys didn't realize you were talking about something besides a Blaster....I could be wrong tho....oops.
Ii just called carb parts annd he's sending me the correct needle.but said to keep the other ones I ordered as well and try them.he recommended the r1173n which is what was in it even with the mods.anyonne thiink id benefiit from usinng or trying one of the richer ones considering the mods and the temp out side?really nervous about leaning her out and gong pop.
So now that you're aware what we are talking about what are your opinions?id hate to trash a topend especiially a new one you know?
