this looks like a provision for a waterpump;above the oil pump drive. anyone know why yamaha chose not to use an H2O pump on the blaster?
anyone know if any other bikes,quads use the blaster tranny that are H20 cooled? other than the pump all that needs to be done is tap bolt holes & open the plastic for the water pump drive.

They wanted it to be air cooled for some reason. The blaster engine is a copy of the old DT200 water cooled motorcycle engine

so.... it can be converted from air to water cooled and possibly use a 250 2stroke H2O cooled top end right?

im asking a lot of ???'s because I want a challenging build, something far away from ordinary & common that nobody else has built. thanks again for your info.

You can buy a water cooled conversion kit. Its expensive.
