Whats the difference between the Toomey B1 that I've got on right now and My cousins LRD set up. He said LRD is a little better I haven't raced against it yet. to me it's just unique and expensive but feels similar. also can any one find their web sight I haven't come close to finding it.

the pipes are a close match but the lrd can take more upgrades than the toomey can. but this is just my opinion. I know the right bend pipes have a lot larger opening at the flange end than the toomey. but no pipe sounds better than the toomey.

The toomey will probably perform better with just an open airbox, reeds, and bigger carb. The lrd will respond alot better when you get into porting, head work, and stroker cranks, and large carbs.

i have a lrd never road a toomey so idk. if i wanted to stay stock i would of got a toomey but im plannin if i ever get more $$ to do some engine work and lots of it

Wipe out everything you think you know about LRD performing better than Toomey on modded motors. It's all about the entire setup, LRD will be better on some setups than the Toomey and the Toomey will be better than the LRD on some setups. It's been proven several times that the two are as close to identical on a dyno as you can get so it all comes down to personal preference.

This is very true. Most people just buy the "best" pipe out there and expect to have a screaming bike when it really boils down to tuning and supporting mods. But, I have always heard that the lrd has a stronger pull through the entire rpm range than toomey but toomey has a stronger top rpm pull. I do know for sure that the toomey has been tested by ken oconnor himself. He has found that the toomey runs about 20-30 degrees hotter than any previous pipes he has had...
