whats it take to run with or beat a 250R

Get a CP Customs Big Bore 265cc Kit....run with a PWK 35mm or higher.... you might even want to send it to Flotek, Kennedy, or Wildcard. IMO, Wildcard is better by the way i've talked to him about porting my jug....The thing is, I dont know if he would know the porting for the 265....the 265 is quite rare on blasters....I:I

You can run with em' but in the end what have you proved? I'm not trying to discurage you.. just sayin.
With all that money time blood and hard work you could have a really nice R or even a 450 if you like 4pokers.

I hated to hear stuff like this but after all this time I'm figuring it out for myself.. doesn't mean you can't be happy and have fun with your blaster.

You can beat his ass pretty badly all it takes is skills, learn the limits of the blaster and yourself, then head for the woods and woop him.

I would not attemp to beat the 250r on fire roads or open fields (drag race)

if that is what you are trying to do then I would suggest you go to his house, look at the 250r, and tell him what an awsome bike he has and leave it at that or stick a yz250 engine in there and have a go at it.
 
i have a kxt250 powered gblaster sittin in my garage... might give a 250r a run but its a pita to launch..

for a blaster to hang with a 250r your gonna nead big carb, mucho porting, stroker, head work, the best pipe you can get, timing mod.. even then you may hang with him for the first few hundred feet but in the long run the r willl out run you..

there is a dirt wheels artical posted on airfoolers they did compairing the 450r to the 250r... needless to say there very compairable machines.. there 250r is stock except for a ct pipe and jetted and the 450r has ct pipe and jetted... 250r dyno'd 36hp just on a pipe ( which isnt even a great pipe for them) and the 450r did 44 BUT in a sprint... the 450 pulls the 250r outta the hole but than the 250r starts to real it in..

a blaster is fun BUT the 250r is god, 20 years after they stopped making them there still kickin ass and taken names! there frame geomitry was ahead of its time (400ex uses simmaler frame) there suspension was ahead of its time, and there motor was a animal!!! and everyone still makes stuff for them... and bb kits galor!! many many options... 265 195 310 330 and 350.. can get 330 and 350 power valve set ups for them...
 
theres alot done to it stroked to 280cc aftermarket head pipe and more i seen pics its sweet come to find out he with ease spanks another coworkers heavily modded raptor660R
 
stroke the blaster put a 265 bore kit i called 850 then put tho nos kit in it to bigger carb lightened fly wheel do the timming mod and a good cultch in it because with the nos the cultchs blow like crazy

Not the best thing for a 2 stroke to run on nos......i'd say make it run on alky....give wildcard a call....
 
you dont nned methanol ,a 285 or whatever bore, or nitrous to beat a honda 250r ...a worked 240 with the right setup will whip even a ported one all day long
