hey guys, ive had my '91 blaster runnin for a while and its doin well so far. But i must say i ride with a 700 raptor, a 350 banshee and a bunch of other "bigger" quads. I keep up and even show them up from time to time. Especially in tight trails. Cuz you guys know thats the blastys home turf. BUT im lookin for some EFFECTIVE ways to bring up the power. Ive thought about pipes and some bolt on items but idk if they are less effective then just gettin the insides fixed up. If some one could steer me in a cheaper or if not cheaper, more effective for the money solutions. Any help is much appretiated.

I would be happy to answer any questions to clear anything up.

an aftermarket pipe would really boost the power over the stock sh*t one. if you really want some good power, take the airbox lid off, 35mm airstryker carb, port & polish(best bang for your buck) and a nice pipe(dyno port, lrd, f7 ect.. just not DG or fmf). suspension is critical so maybe some used works shocks all around would be a nice(relativly cheap) upgrade.

also, this thread may be helpfull.

Thanks guys thats a tone of help. and quick too.

I was just always sceptical if a pipe was a much better option then just gettin the whole thing rebuilt.

Im thinkin a toomey b1 and maybe reeds

sounds like you used to riding 4 strokes...
on 2 strokes the exhaust is EVERYTHING thats why they always tell you to do your exhaust first..

ive been driving 2 strokes since i was 6 lol just not used to upgading them. This is the first time ive had a machine ive wanted to power up and actually had some cash in my pocket.

definately a 14 front if the way to go. i have a 40 tooth in the back but you can get a 38 or a 39 also. where in NE PA do you live Rhyno?

I'm right there with you. I always rode MX 250 2 strokes in the mountains since I was young and the thing was to try to calm them down (bottom end pipes, flywheel weights, dual stage reeds, gearing down) and now with the Blaster I want more power.
