okay, my birthday is comeing up in september and my dad is gonna get me some nerfs. i have a buddy that rides a used to have a 400 ex and his had moose nerfs and he said they are the best. i asked my dad to get me some moose heel guard nerfs and he said okay are they good bars. are there any better ones/if so how much do they cost?

moose nerfs are fine but were ive seen them they run over $200. imo i would go with tusk nerfs. they are around $110 at rocky mountain atv and they are a solid product... and you can find better deals every now and then on ebay. my .02

well on ebay idk what brand but if seen em go for like 30$$ thay may be a little older but who care thats how i buy my stuff and you can buy some other thing also to go along with thay nerfs

I've used Tusk and AC basic nerfs and they are ok, but shoot if Dad is willing to buy any kind of nerfs with integral heel guards then that is the way to go. My stock plastic heel guards are starting to go to s__t.

I just saw some very nice Pro Armor w/heelguards for $220 on Rocky MTN ATV.

I just got some Tusks today, we'll see how it goes.

I was thinking, do the nerf bars take place of that rear step behind the peg? If not I was thinking of just welding a little upside down "U" on vertically on that step to act as a heel guard, like the Moose ones but on the cheap.
