what kind of routine matneience should i do?

I baby mine and Greece the all the fittings routenly check chain and sprocket wear change oil every few rides, tire pressure, AXLE NUTS AND LUGNUTS, I'm paranoid and go over my suspension and a arms every few rides, clean your air filter to I:I

lets not forget the basics; a fresh plug is NICE! making sure your coil wire isnt getting old and your boot isnt leaking is NICE! draining the fuel tank and cleaning your petcock once a season is NICE! be nice to your Blasty and, it will sh*t on you and leave you walking! (sorry guys, im a realist!)

Lol forgot some of this NICE

Making sure you have oil in your oil tank, or making sure to mix the proper amount with your gas if you have the oil injection blocked off is nice too. Also using good quality oil is nice.

There are few things to use as a rule of thumb.

2 times a year, lube the cables, up, buy the chain and cable one.

always check crankcase oil and replace after 3 to 5 tanks of use.

greese fittings about the same every 3 to 5 tanks of gas, but dont overfill and pop the seals.

dont use your 2cycle oil for years, if you using the injection. replace the oil in it every year.

drain the float bowl at the end of season, before storage and a tea spoon of oil in the cylinder for storage.

depending on where you ride at or how dirty or dusty. you may want to clean the air filter after each ride and re-oil. stick with what type of filter you have. Meaning that different air filters, use different cleaners.

some are just rince and light soap, some use a spray can type cleaner. the same for oils, some are red in a tube you apply or spray on.

wait so what fitting do you grease an the cable an chain what?

An for the recored will someone give me a step by step on cleaning the god dam air filter ive searched it an asked an havent got a good answer

Well for the chain, you have to get some good chain lube, I use Liquid Wrench and it works great. As for the air filter, it depends on what kind you have, for a K&N you need the filter cleaning kit. You have to wash the fliter out with soap and water and rinse it out real good, then let it dry over night or something. DO NOT USE compressed air it will screw up the filter. Once its dry spray it with the K&N filter oil and then your done!

As for the grease fittings, there is one on each top A Arm, two on each bottom A Arm, and one on the steering stem. I use Marine and Off Road grease

hey just told ya?

I use general purpose grease for the A arms and steering, if grease oozes out wipe it away, so that it wont accumulate dirt and dust.

You can buy chain lube in a spray can, made for the job, really sticky stuff and does not throw off too easily.

I will add though, when it does throw off onto the bike, it is a mongrel to wash off.

x2, I use chain lube that says it for O-ring chains and it is not fun to clean off. I usually put it on when the wheeler is going to sit for a while so it has time to soak in, and hopefully have less getting on the machine.

i babby mine too. after every race, it gets cleaned, air filter gets cleaned, chain lubed, tires checked, every nut and bolt get checked, oil change every so often, compression, every so often, leak test every other race/ practice
