What jets should I run for colder weather?

Hey, so I have a 2006 Yamaha blaster. At the moment it has vforce 4 reeds, and full Fmf exhaust pipe. Recently I just blew it up from running too lean. I had it running great before temperature dropped, so I’m guessing I’m gonna need to rejet it for the weather, what should I be running?
 
As a general rule. You should go up 1 size for every 30 degrees of temperature drop. For example FMF pipe with open air box and stock Mikuni carb at 80 degrees, at sea level wants a 280 main. Everything the same but drop temp to 50 degrees, you should go up to a 290 main jet.
 
Start with a 280 main jet, needle in the middle clip position and go from there. What was your jetting before? Colder weather usually means going up on the jet size. Make sure you do a plug chop to check!

Sorry for the late response, I had a 240 before but now I switched to a 280, going to see how it is once I have the quad back together

Sorry if I am a total idiot but what is a “Plug chop?” I suppose I could do research but I hate using Search engines and really only get on the Net to browse this forum. Therefore I should probably type it into that handy search box that’s integrated within the blaster forum as well! :-/)
