what is this

oh oops i didint mean 1 pint i meant 1 quart and 1 quart to 5 gallons is 40:1 right and also i want to get back to 32:1 ratio and since i put 1 quart of oil with 5 gallons wich is 40:1 , and to get 32:1 you need 1 quart with 4 gallons so since theres 950 ML in a quart of oil and if you divide that by four it gives you 237, so would i just be able add 237 ML of oil to my 5 gallon mixture and that would make it 32:1?

32 ounces in a quart, 5 gallons is 640 ounces, 640 divided by 32 is 20:1...a touch on the lean side once you mix with air. 8-|

You want to go 4 ounces of oil for every 128 ounces of fuel (1 gallon of fuel).

If you are thinking of changing from 40:1 to 32:1 you may need to increase the main jet one size to compensate for the extra oil taking the place of fuel.

If the PO had it jetted correctly for 40:1 and you lean out the fuel in the mix with extra oil, you may run too hot and cook a piston.

well is 40:1 a ok fuel/oil ratio?? and remember you helped me through rejetting it, it used to have 380 main and some wierd needle and a 35 pilot jet then i changed it to 280 main with oem clip on 3rd slot and 32.5 pilot, that was for a 32:1 ratio so do i need to change the main jet or anything since i have 40:1 or should i just add 237ML of oil to my 5 gallon mix and it would be 32:1

40:1 is ok if you are jetted for it. You need to plug chop and make sure you have that nice cardboard or slightly darker color on the base of your ceramic. Also, how much is 237ml? Is that a quart of oil, or 32 ounces? Keep it in ounces to gallons. A 32:1 mix is 4 ounces of oil to 1 gallon of fuel. 40:1 is about 3.2 ounces of oil to 1 gallon of fuel. Think of the numbers this way x:y, where x is the number of ounces of fuel and y is the number of ounces of oil. A ratio, (ie. 32:1) is nothing more than a dividing formula that has the lowest denominator. For example, 1 gallon of liquid is 128 ounces. 128/4 (or 128:4) is the same as 32/1 (or 32:1). That is only for your fuel mix.

When you start talking about plug chopping, then you have to consider that mix to air....that is a much more complicated formula for various reasons. Once you have your fuel mixture set, then you plug chop, that is the only way to know if your fuel mix to air ratio is correct. If not, you leave your fuel mix alone and you start playing with your jetting.

Hope this makes sense.

Stick with the settings you have and keep the 32:1.

For adequate lubrication,a 200cc, 2 stroke motor requires at least a 32:1 fuel/oil ratio ( unless the oil maker states differently ) .
