84 Silverado short box with a 383 Stroker. When its running anyway. It is down right now because the trans went out and took the thrust out of the crank. Should be up and running again this weekend. Gets about 13MPG pulling 3 ATV's on a 6 x 12 converted boat trailer.

I just painted a silverado of mine with a 396 turbo 400 combo. I sold it 5 or 6 weeks ago. Your truck reminded me of it. I sold it for the price of the motor i built which was 3 grand.

Sounds too cheap to me!! I had 13 grand in mine when I finished it 12 years ago. It was basically a frame off kind of deal. 79 chassis, 84 cab and front end, 83 bed floor and front, and aftermarket bed sides. The body work is what killed me. I am no body man so had to pay for all that. Doubt I'll ever sell my truck. Just keep putting engines and trans in it. Labor for that stuff is cheap since I work in an automotive machine shop.
