I just got an offer to buy my toomey pipe and the guy looks like he just joined the forum today. he is paying with paypal. so it should be ok... right? :-/

I'm pretty sure he's supposed to be a supporting member to buy things from other members, might make admin. a little cranky, did you have it posted in the for sale section? or did he hear about it some other way?

well, if a newbie pm's u he doesn't have to be a supporting member, i'd do it, its about impossible to get ripped off while selling somthing unless your completely retarted

paypal is not safe. I sold a 83 cr 125 engine to a guy in california. He payed paypal, then claimed he got the box with no engine and it had a wedding dress and a bowl in it.

So i fought and argued and fought it with them and THEY STILL REFUNDED HIS MONEY TO HIM and he obviously kept the engine that he didnt get and shipped me back the dress and bowl.

So now I have a f**cking wedding dress and bowl in my garage, the guy has a cr125 engine and his money back.

Nothing is safe. f**ck paypal.

That has to be one of the funniest things I heard! Sucks you got taken but was a good laugh. I've used paypal for many years with no problems.

dude, wedding dresses can be costly, try to sell that sh*t lol.

also to the OP, make the guy send the money as a gift. if he does that, he wont be able to dipute the transaction. but if you do that, dont f*ck the guy over either.

hey if the deal falls through ill buy your pipe. but paypal is stupid. my wife baught a stereo for mr last christmas, and i recieved the product not as described. so i fought paypal and i got my money back as long as i payed to ship the stereo back. paypal didnt ask questions, they just refunded my money. and the 2 months later i get a package in the mail. it was the stereo my wife ordered. the guy never went to the post office to claim him package. so now i have a stereo and money back
