long story short, my blaster was stolen 6 years ago and i just got it back. i'm not as small as i was when i was 16 so i'd like to make it a little wider. i know that banshee axles will fit so the rear end won't be a problem to make just a little wider but what is still available as far as a-arms go? this is more of a budget build so i'm not really looking to spend a WHOLE lot.

o rly? any size or does he do strictly one? i'm not sure that i'd want to do a +3, i'd like to keep this just a trail ripper. haha

Get sicivicdude's a-arms. Great prices and he can do whatever size you want. (within reason)

+3 +1 arms overcorrect the stock width between the front and back, and instead of being wider in the rear (with a stock axle) it will be slightly wider in the front. +1 means that the ball joints are 1 inch further forward. This increases stability at higher speeds by lengthening the wheelbase.

Overall, +3 +1 a-arms are not untrailable. IMO they would be perfect for a trail ripper.

i suppose a +3 wouldn't be too bad now that i think about just how damn skinny this thing is. i'm used to my old 300ex that had +5 laeger arms haha. that thing was a total pain in the woods.

what's the average pricing on his a-arms?

From the horses mouth,

Prime's set of a-arms and tie rods are completely finished welding. I'm working on getting another oven ready to go so I can coat them (and hopefully keep this oven out of the scrap yard 8-|).

Brute71 has spoken for another set for his MX quad.

I ordered enough tubing for a third set or a-arms (intended for myself) but if you're really interested they could be yours instead... HOWEVER, I have a BUNCH of projects "in the fire" as the saying goes. It's going to be a while before I can get to working on the third set.

If you'd like to discuss your setup or have any questions, PM me.

it gives you more than that. however, i have an 05 with hydraulic brakes. i'd just much rather have legit widened arms.

If you can wait I would go with sicivicdude's arms. If not there are company's like lonestar, burguard(my choice), american star racing(also know as asr). Synder motorsports had sets on ebay going for great prices awhile back, I dunno if they are still there but you can check.

ha, yeah. i had this quad back when projectblaster.com was still pretty big. i had planned on making it a full blown race quad and that all got shut down. my family had around 15 stolen (all kept in a barn, about one atv/trike per person and then a bunch of little atc70/90/110/etc). mine was the first found aside from our kdx200 that was found in a ditch (probably fell off the trailer). so there are still about 14 or so missing. a couple 660 raptors, a 200x or 2, a REAL NICE 350x, trailblazer, and all of our tools. i'd be surprised if we found any more. however, we now at least have a lead on where mine came from haha. i'm about to go into detective mode in the next week or so.

so... uhh... yeah. i've got it back and kind of want to make it into a fun little project. it's not in bad shape, still. only serious damage done was a wrecked subframe that they welded back together (could be worse). they did steal it RIGHT after i put my lrd pipe on and had put new jets in the carb. never got a chance to fine tune it. ran SUPER rich when i got it, i don't know how nobody in 6 years didn't bother to try to fix it. idiots.
