Got up to almost 10,000 feet, and we couldnt go any higher. Too much snow in the road. There was also a felled tree wed have had to go around. But I took a couple cool pictures. This oughtta blow some of you guys minds given its the middle of july.

Before we went up, I was messing around in the flat, spinning doughnuts, drifting around the flat, and I lost it, and was thrown off, faceplanted, and the quad rolled. It bent the fack out of my handlebars and broke a retaining piece for the brake cable (brakes still worked tho).

Check out the handlebars...

My face hurts. I have a black eye. My right cheek is swollen, my nose hurts. However, if I wasnt wearing my goggles, long sleeve hoodie, and my riding pants and helmet, it would have been MUCH worse for me I think. The pic doesnt show it so much, but you can see my cheek is speckled, my nose is, and you can see my slight black eye on the left there.

Always wear your safety gear guys.

Also if someone has a cheap extra set of stock handlebars layin around, PM me :)

wow cant believe no one resonded lol. looks like a cool place to ride man. and bars are deffinantly bent lol

Yeah, Ive decided if it isnt a race video taking out a 4 stroke or something, nobody really cares.

Im a little bitter about it. I think more people should post the beautiful places they ride in.

i saw the pics when you posted it up but it was like 4 here when i saw it and man was it tired. and i love pics/vids more than drag vids 10x there are boring i love seeing the bike and place more than the riding unless its at fun place like a good trail or mx.

I agree Luni. I would have posted, but i was not able to access my computer for like a week while this was posted. Posts quickly get lost if no one comments.

i'd have traded my sons blaster for a pile of snow today,
mid/high 90's here today, way too freakin hot for me !!!!!

and no way did you get them injuries with a full face mx style helmet on !!!!
couple more of them "knocks" and you'll be shoppin for a hoverround scooter chair

I dont wear a full face helmet. It kinda sucks when you wear glasses, I havent found a full face helmet that works with the type of goggles I have to wear that go over my glasses so I can see.

I kinda wish I had some contacts for when I go riding. But I dont.

Today I went fishing. Was up at an alpine lake, fishing at 9500 feet, there was snow in the shade, temp was mid 60s, it was gorgeous. I caught a bunch of trout too.

Guys want pics?

Honestly, had I seen this post I would have certainly sent you a fedex shipping number for a big handful of Utah's finest powder!

10,000 feet is nearly enough us flat ground people can't breath right anymore.... much less my flat grounded blasty. What main jet are you running in that beast to get it to run at 10,000 ft?

10,000 feet it needs right around a 132 in a PWK28

I actually have a dial a jet for it. So my main is a 132 and at lower altitudes I richen it up. At higher altitudes I lean it out. Since the dial a jet is flowing SOME fuel on top of the 132, Ill say a jet size higher than a 132 (135) should be the ticket at 10k feet.

I think before the rebuild I ran a 128 without a dial a jet at 8000-10000ish feet.

got some handlebars for you if u want them, i got stock or fat bars, 40 shipped for the stock and the fat pazazz bars are blue, pm me if u want them

by the way that sh*t is awesome up there!!

I go all the way down to a 105 and up to a 165 LOL. I think Im running a 132 main and a 35 pilot.

Oh and heres the pics

Heres the lake. Its called Mirror Lake. Moutain in the background is called Bald Mountain. The top of Bald Mountain is ~12k feet. The lake is ~9500 feet.

This is a fat rainbow I caught. My shoe is a size 13. And hes damn near as fat around as my foot. Not sure if the picture shows this. This trout was big for an alpine lake trout.

mirrorlakefishing04.jpg

Heres another one. You can tell this guy is not near as fat as the one above. Hes still a good sized fish for this lake

mirrorlakefishing01.jpg

Heres another rainbow. Hes decent sized, but look how big that lure looks next to his face LOL. He had some big plans for that thing :p

mirrorlakefishing02.jpg

This last one is a cool fish. He is LONG. I shoulda put him next to my foot for reference, but I didnt. Hes longer than my foot. Hes easily a 15-17 inch fish. Hes cool cause hes a Tiger Trout (mix between a Brown and a Brook trout) Cool markings

nice fish !

i'd be interested in pics and your experience with the dail-a-jet

Funny story. I ended up trading that Tiger trout, and the 2nd shoe pic (the smaller of the 2) to some asian tourists for 4 bananas. I was changing lures, and they came walking by and asked what kind of fish were in here, and if I had any Id caught. I said no, but Ive been catching them all day. They asked if Id catch them one (kinda jokingly), said theyll be by to get it on their way out. So the next 2 fish I caught I kept on the stringer alive. When they came back I told them I had some fish for them. They were flabbergasted LOL. They made me take bananas which I was cool with cause I was hungry. So yeah. Bananas for fish. Not a bad trade. LOL.

thats crazy............
bannana's for trout, at 10,000 ft., with asian tourists no less ?????

Cool riding area and nice job with the catch.

Bananas are considered to be bad luck by many of the regular anglers who fish the offshore boats here in SoCal....so, good thing you got your fish when you did ;)
