went hunting this weekend

Cool. I hunt, but not deer. In our house we live by the philosophy, "if it flies, it dies".

What flies, dies. What hops, drops.

I hear you. Where is Farmersville? I have bird dogs and are always looking for suggestions as to good hunting.

West of Dayton, a hour and a half north of Cincinnati. Out around here there are some ducks and geese. We have some quail and pheasant, but they are on the pheasant farms. They used to be wild around here, but coyotes keep getting them. But there arent many good spots to duck and goose hunt, you just have to scout and follow them. We are hunting this weekend, but i dont know where dad has been scouting.

I got a NICE 8 point this year in central Michigan. Didn't take any pictures tho.
I was in a stand for about an hour and a half and he walked right under me he was with a little doe. I had my .45 with me so I used it. i also had my 12 ga. but i have always wanted to take a deer with my hand gun, so I did. he ran 10' and dropped dead. nice clean kill.

I got 2 does this year in west virgina, both were about 120 lbs, but i finally got to see what a ballistic tip does out of a 30.06 at about 16 yds!!(head shot) lol

dad shot a 8 pointer about 200lb dressed in nd and shot a doe with a muzzleloader... we like did record time in cuting it and guting and sh*t like 10 min it was all done..

on nov. 8 i shot an 8 pointer that dressed at 142. biggest buck ive ever shot and it was with my bow.

was in the stand at 2 after rain all morning, and at 4:15 heard something running behind me, turned and saw a deer with a rack, i stood, turned around and clipped on myt release in one motion. he ran and stopped 8 yards behind me, i saw 3 points on one side, drew and shot. perfect heart shot he went only about 50 yrds.

it all happened in a matter of 5 seconds and it was a rush like no other.
