Warrior or blaster? Please help!

If I was you, I'd get a completely stock 400ex/Z400 or a 450 4 stroke quad and never have you(or your dad) touch the engine.
if i were you i would do a leakdown on the bike, fix any leaks, clean/oil the air filter check the packing on the exhaust , plug check/chop and then race the warrior.
Well I want a 400ex but you can't find one Around here that will trade straight up for a blaster.
i would NEVER in my life take a warrior over a blaster. warriors are heavy as hell and they arent much faster than a blaster. stock for stock they will beat a blaster but once you mod a blaster it will fly by the warrior. but then again, i had the same mods done to my warrior as my blaster and my blaster qouldnt touch my warrior.
if you want a trail quad then the warrior is perfectly fine. like ppl have already said their not the fastest thing, but they are very reliable. the key to that is maintenance though. make sure your jetted properly, valves are adjusted, regular oil changes and you're good to go.
btw, they can be made fast and to handle great, but you gotta have the dough. mine is far from stock.

I take care of my sh*t. God you guys are helpful sometimes but then your not. All I'm asking is what should I do. I'm not talking about what's happened to my blaster.
Well if you run it lean blow it, and listen to your genius of a father and run the oil injection unit and premixed gas at the same time, and end up blowing the engine 4 times in 1 year, I'd have to disagree.
well apparently not because my blaster is still on the stock bore and piston.And its a 99.Yea I race it and run the sh*t ouuta it.But I take care of it and see what happens.It f*ckin lasts.
for straight up trials I prolly would get the warrior. now with that said the warrior is gonna be twice the maintenance of the blaster and is gonna cost four times as much to rebuild when you blow it up. well you know what you have in the blaster and where it's problems are, when you buy a new bike you have to relearn that all over again, while it's simple yes ts time consuming to have to do it so in the end I would keep the blaster.
I ride mostly all trails and my blaster dominates even 450s and raptors. I wouldn't trade it for anything.
I have both a blaster and a warrior. I see nothing wrong with the warriors. Warriors are not the fastest thing but they are very reliable. Riding trails I'd take the warrior over the blaster just because its a bigger quad and im 6-2. Plust I dont have to keep the warrior in a power band. That being said I love the power the blasty has, it gets up and goes a little faster than the warrior.
I think you will be happy with either choice. BTW my warrior isn't stock either but not nearly as modded as blkblzr01's.

my blaster is on it's 5th year on this same top end and i maintain it VERY well. i only put the highest quality and best oils in it and i never run it hard, i just cruise around and every now and then get the itch to go fast but not often. i baby mine all to hell and no matter how cold the weather, i could go outside and it starts first kick.
WE ARE SAYING WHAT YOU SHOULD DO!!! my blaster is on the stock cast piston from 99. if that isnt reliable idk what is. you have to take care of it. run maxima klotz or amsoil oils. keep an eye on ur compression. and make sure its jetted right with plug chops and top ends should last years. if your not going to listen to us and argue that you want the warrior then get it. its not our quads or problems
i think you should curl up in a ball go into a cave and never touch a fourwheeler again in your life FOUR times in ONE that is insane. i beat the hell out of mine and it last way longer than that. the dumbass who previously owned my new blaster mix chainsaw oil and ran in his it didnt last. maintnence is the key and you obviously cant maintain a fourwheeler
Ok how the hell don't I maintain it?! I mix gas an oil and put it in the tank, how isn't that mantinence?! I always run a full tank through it on eachride an I baby the he'll out of it and get on it when I feel like it. But all I do is cruise around. Seriously guys? What the hell! I thought you guys were helpful and you are... Sometimes. But you sit here and judge someone because they have problems with their stuff and they aren't as "perfect" as YOU ALL THINK YOU ARE.
