Im the clueless one, not my dad. Hes very knowledgable about all of this. But he wont help me because thats just how he is. but that's why we had a local Yamaha dealer (who is suppose to specialize in carb work) work on it for me. They f'ed it up when I thought it was right. So I rode it and it blew and kept blowing. Now we finally seem to have it right.
......yet your dad was the one that decided to run pre mix gas and the oil injection unit at the same time.
As far as stealerships, I trust very few of them. At the end of the day, most of them are just guys like everybody else and they learned from somewhere(or maybe they didn't). If you can't learn it for yourself, I'd recommend sending it off to one of the engine builders and have them assemble it for you as a whole. Not cheap, but it works. Best thing is to just learn like everybody else. A clymer manual is only $30.
