i cant even work on this quad. my dad keeps telling me all these different things and that i never had to take out the carb could of cleaned it with it in there or whatever. i get information from you guys than my dad tells me i need to do it another way

Well depends on who you want to listen to there , I'm not going to tell you to listen to me over your Father , But Has he owned one of these type of machines for over a Decade ?
No. he's worked on tons of cars and motorcycles his whole life, but he always insists on me doing something else. I haven't even been able to touch this bike. My uncle is coming over tomorrow, maybe he'll help me.
most of us here have ton's of expirence with these machines spacificly. I have been through every square inch of these quads as have many other guys here.
I'm getting bothered about it, now by my whole family, about fixing it. I feel like dropping it off at a mechanic cause my parents will only trust one of them..(Not you guys,me)
You should tell them you can learn by doing this work yourself , Heck show them the Site and what we do here , It might give them a better understanding about what we do here , Tell them you want to learn to do this so you Save money and can apply this Knowledge Elsewhere in life ! .
I told them I want to do it myself. They understand one day and then when they see me doing it they freak out. My mom said the smell of gas on me was giving her a head ache and my dad tells me I'm doing it wrong.. All I did was take the carb out

I used a nail and a light tap of a hammer. If I remember right mine only would come out one way. Don't worry about the parents they worry they don't want you to waste your money. My parents were the same way for years.
Just nod ur head and agree when ur parents tell u to do somethin differently than the people here tell you lol I:I
