I bought a new intake joint due to the fact that the old one had the rubber tab cut off completely flush for the installation of the vfroce 3 reeds. However, whomever did it took too much off allowing an air leak and the loss of 3 top ends. Now on the fourth, I hope I have it fixed. My question is, there is the small rubber piece on the intake joint. Does this actually need to be trimmed in order to use the VForce 3 reeds? Thanks
