UPP or Pro-Design Manifold?

So who runs what ... I need to get a 34mm manifold.

UPP makes a normal manifold

Pro-design which says it is designed to work with v-force and uses a billet base plate. I am wondering if anyone runs these and if it is worth the extra $

Lastly, am I going to need to run a reed spacer for proper clearance with a 34mm mikuni tm flatslide. If so can I run a Pro-design manifold with a spacer?

Edit: could someone explain what powerjets are. I am looking at an aftermarket bowl made to clearance the case without reed spacer if it is even needed. It is pre-drilled for powerjets? Although they are not needed though I am wondering what they are.

i do have the pro design intake, which made it a breeze to switch the rubber boot to the bigger 34mm one from the stock size 26mm as it was whn i got it, only $20+ for the extra boot, as for overall cost ??? i bought it used for $50 on ebay, but i do not have to run a spacer plate to fit my 34pj, possibly the billet base plate sits it back far enuf on its own,
as for the vf3's, pro design supposedly makes a model specifically for the vf's ???
mine was not that model, which required cutting the nozzle off of the vf's inner piece, which must be left in, so cutting the nozzle off was the only option, no biggie, 10 minute job

as for the upp intake, i've heard reports it flowbenched the best ????

also....if you do end up running a spacer plate,
which i only suggest if needed
it MUST be run in front of the vf's not behind it or the nozzle will push back under load causing all kinds of tuning headaches, whatever intake you choose must push and hold the center/nozzle piece in
so which ever intake you choose, the spacer will work, if needed,
cause it sits on the other side of the vf's between the engine and reed cage

Thank you awk left some greenz ..... I just bit the bullet and bought the pro design for the v-force reeds and am hoping it will work without reed spacer, if not I am going to get the billet bowl to clearance instead of spacer.

Still am curious about powerjets though, what they are, and how they work?
 
i run a UPP for 33-36mm carbs its a little tight but very sturdy and is just starting to show signs of wear after a year, also it has a nice angle on it just enough to clear a big carb with no spacer, dont run a spacer just "twist" the carb a hair to the side so it clears the clutch arm. basically its held up great, even after i have pulled the carb off probably 50 times for jetting
 
A powerjet is an auxilary fuel metering circuit which sits separate from the regular emulsion tube. Usually the "jet" is a needle and an emulsion ring which sits just in front of the slide halfway up the carburetor bore. It draws fuel from the float bowl, through the needle, and into the ring dispersing the fuel only when the carburetor slide is open far enough to expose it.

That way, there are four fuel metering systems and you can get more fuel into the carburetor bore than the standard three metering systems allow.
