hello fellow atv riders. im in r.i. any ways my daughter has a 2006 blaster chain blew hole in case, i got new case am ready to put back together. when cases r together with 1/8 of inch space the crank and tranny main shaft spin freely but when i put bolts in and close completly the crank and main shaft do not spin, uggg. there is no debris or any noticeable things binding it. its my first time splitting cases all gears 1 thru 6 r there when i manually shift thru. if any one has any info that can help my 12 yr old daughter get back into trails please send reply. THANK you for any info.

Pictures of the cases open would help. I can tell with near certainty where the problem is but pics would be nice.

The input shaft needle bearing has to be driven beyond flush into the left side case of the whole assembly won't move. The rest of the bearings are driven flush against their stops (so you can tell they're right).

i like what civic is saying, considering thats what ken and i found was the only thing wrong with that motor i bought last week
that bearing either wasnt put in far enuf or had worked out

are you using a puller to pull the crank into the bearing/case ????

theres your problem, you need the crank puller to seat the crank into that bearing, the screws should never, and prolly will never seat that correctly !!!!! and may crack the case
they make a crank puller for a reason

check with blansheeman, he's in NH. and bought one from me, maybe you could borrow it ?????
