twist throttle

I am hoping that once I complete Ken's head port proceedure, that I can also get a twist throttle. I don't know which one's the best quality, but I also need a >T.O.R.S< elimination kit and idle screw setup. I think those are a good pair to do on these gems. Twist throttle is great compared to thumb throttle. Never broke my thumb with a twist throttle...Can't say that bout the other.

cons of a twist, if you dont know how to use it you will wreck. like on a thumb you can let go of the throttle and hang on the grips, with a twist you really can do this as easy.

if you broke your thumb on the throttle, something is wrong.

like stated above if you hit a bump with a twist throttle you are alot more likely to accidentially punch it and get out of controll

I've tried both and went back to my thumb throttle because I experienced similar probs as others^^^^. The only real advantage I could see with the twist was that on long rides my thumb throttle makes my thumb tired/sore and the twist didn't. Solved that problem with a 3" piece of 5/8" heater hose to extend the thumb lever.

If I rode dunes, desert, or fields I would like a twist, but for any kind of aggressive riding its way to awkward on a quad, I've tried it and don't care for it.

Now I do like twist throttles on dirt bikes, in fact love them.... I'm sure a thumb throttle would feel just as odd on a bike as a twist throttle on a quad.

My bike came with a twist on it, and I tried to get use to it, but I could not, so i switched to a thumb and haven't looked back.

I'm very curious as how the hell your broke your thumb on a damn throttle, first I have ever heard of such thing.
