True bolt on 240 kit

Idk what ill do we shall see i dont like not being able to use all of my current mods.

So whats wrong with the fmf on the 240?i personally like the fmf on my current warmed over blaster setup.and isnt the vitos fat bastard similar to the fmf fatty?im sure theres better yes but for a weekend river runner and ocassional flat tracking idk if i want to just wait and get the banshee ive been wanting since ths blaster has 10hrs on it and i cant justify ripping it up and having go buy more parts.

fmf is nothing like a fat bastard in any way shape or form lol

and a fmf will work just not very well u will be leaving a ton of horsepower on the table so to speak

I see.

So what do those of you running this bolt on 240 think of it?honestoy if i did it id go with something similar go the vitos kit and keep the current jug head and piston as a spare.i dont race this thing on a serious level and the old lady already said she wants the blaster if i get a banshee if i cant make it work without having to buy or do a bunch more itll stay as is.

like everyone has said the vitos 240 will get smoked by a ported stock cylinder motor unless u have it ported the la sleeve bolt on rips ass as they make 40 hpwr and it costs the same as the vitos kit pretty much

The la sleeve 240 will get smoked by a ported stock cylinder also. It doesn't matter which 240 you decide to go with, either one is going to need to be ported

Um I don't think so...... Somebody posted video of a race between a la sleeve (stk) and a stock bore ported stroker motor and the la sleeve still one by a quad or 2

Have you seen the size of the ports in the la sleeve 240, if it is the same as my CT 240 it dont need ported to smoke a ported stock cylinder....

The only 240 that can be beat by a ported stock jug is a vito unported. CT/LA240 will win the battle everytime ported or unported if its set up right.

The vito unported is really restrictive unlike the ct240 kit. 442 has done his homework . I:I

All this talk of porting im curious what the restricted areas of the stock jug and vitos jugs are?are there any how to write ups on the porting of a stocker?id be up for that but to buy a new bbk and have to port it is kind of stupid and who ever at vitos thought that out should be unemployed espcially if a stock ported setup can beat it.

ct buys there parts from la sleeve so there exactly the same!

I know la sleeve does the casting of the cylinder and head , and Ct Racing designed it, but CT racing does all there own port work to match there pipe kit... Who ports the la sleeve kit and are they both ported the same???????:-/

basically the thing with the vito's is you're adding 40 cubes, and keeping the same size intake port to use standard blaster bolt on stuff. the LA/CT setup makes it so that you have a CR250 cage, which is much bigger, and more suited to the size motor you're going to have.

also the vito's is notorious for casting/machining inconsistency. seen them with large chunks missing out of intakes, also seen spark plug holes that aren't centered or straight in the head.

Or for less than the price of one of these kits you can get your stock cylinder ported, the head redesigned, and get a new pipe and carb. this will get you past the stock vito's, and get it closer to the CT/LA setup. but the CT/LA setup leaves you more room to grow beyond there

The vito is very restricted in the intake area as well as exhaust, its pretty damn bad in my opinion. Dont waste ur money on a vito unless your going to get it ported for another 200 bux, just not a good option compared to the ct kit/la. I have a vito ported and will be getting a ct kit as soon as they are available, i guess there on backorder if that tells you something. GO LA 240 and you wont regret it.

One more thing like brandoz said the vito heads are a piece of sh*t, spark plugs off center on mine so i had to get a stock head and have it turned into a 240 head by Ken Oconner.

Some pics of the stock cage VS the CT/LA 240 cage...

it all depends on ur type of riding, a stock ported motor with an aggressive trail port will knock ur socks off if ur riding on backwoods roads dirt, powerlines etc, i have the vitos on mine and i plan on getting it ported, lets face it were guys we all believe "bigger is better, im happy with the difference in my stock motor to this but when i get it ported i can only imagine the difference, either way the vitos is not garbage, it is designed for the "younger" generation since the blaster is considered a kids quad, but if u want raw out the box power go with ct/la. but if u want an upgrade but dont think u will use alll the power a ct/la kit will give u then go with vitos, where i ride i didnt need the ct/la but they closed it down and now i need more because i have more open area where i can open it up and really get into it at the new riding spot. it is all up to you and what u want to do with the quad in the future.

So what you are saying is that a ported stock bore motor or vito's is more suited for back woods trails, and tight riding areas over the la sleeve? I can kinda see that since it is using more of a 250 style intake. Boy I'm telling you I have a cr250 dirt bike and that thing absolutly scares the sh*t out of me. I don't know if I would like my blaster to be like that at all. I am enjoying the stock motor with +4 advance and f7 pipe, but I find myself low on power in mud or pulling hills, and even tight riding on uncleared paths.

So do I put the la sleeve kit on the shelf for a bit and get the stock motor portd first? Maybe even stroked? Just looking for a general idea of what a ported stock motor is from a la sleeve big bore kit....... I think we kinda all would lke to know before some other guys blow the money for the big bore kit. I on the other hand will just put it on the shelf till I crave more power......

i would think a LA sleeve with just a simple trail port would be a great trail machine, im running a FLOTEK stroked and ported motor and the power is crazy but im always game for more!!! haha I:I I:I

an la bbk kit would be an awesome trail motor out of the box if u wanted a lil more power u could have it professionaly ported also and anyone that says vitos stuff isnt junk must not be seing all the complaints about off center and crooked spark plugs in the head , the sleeves spinning in the jug, chunks missing in the intake ports and the way out of true crankshafts. bottom line is vitos is low grade garbage with no quality control !
