Not sure how to describe this problem with my sons Blaster...When we ride around the track in first through fourth gear works great. But if I take his bike on high speed runs it starts to get like a burning smell almosy like clutch.

The clutch was replaced and it seems like 3rd-4th gear @ high speeds with some times rev for a few and then the smell...this happen even before the new clutch and not before the 18inch tires.

I was wondering if the gearing with the 18's is my issue and need to go with 20's.. or the transmission is just strarting wear out.???

well being that the clutch is inside oil and inside the where you couldn't smell it, I doubt it's burning clutch. maybe a dragging brake. My only other guess would be an airleak on the clutch side oilseal on the crank. maybe you are smellling the burning tranny fluid.

I think you make a good point about the breaks...Maybe when I am riding a high speeds the pads could be draging makes more sense of that smell.
