Help!!
I just bought my first Blaster and love it. Finally have something to ride around on with my brother instead of bumming other peoples bikes. We took it out to go riding for its first extended ride yesterday and I noticed that after it warms up it idles exceptionally high from when it is cold and that it also starts spitting oil from the transmission overflow. The hose leads to just below the handlebars and leaks all over the steering, and blows onto the expansion pipe while riding which led me to realize something was burning and not right. It seems to push oil out of the vent at a much quicker rate while sitting and idling extremely high. No abnormal exhaust smoke, plenty of power through all gears, and starts up first kick after warming up. Why would the vent be spewing oil?? I'm hoping its something as simple as being an overfilled transmission by the previous owner. But that wouldn’t explain the high idle. At least I don‘t think it would. I just bought Golden Spectro oil to replace the existing oil. I'm hoping that someone else on here has experienced this problem and could pin point what exactly is wrong.
Couple things I did trying to resolve high idle
-Clean carb
-adjust idle screw: NO RESPONSE TO ADJUSTMENT
Plans for transmission problem
-As I said I'm hoping its just overfilled, but its leaked such a large amount out at this point that I'm not going to run the bike until after I drain and fill with Golden Spectro.
ANY HELP IS APPRECIATED!!
