TORs Removal

Yes you can just pull off the brain box and unplug the two switches (throttle switch and carb cap switch). Once you take care of the electrics, here's how to do the cap kit:

After you get the cap kit installed, you WILL have to adjust the engine's idle speed with the newly-installed screw, but its not difficult. Warm it up and turn the screw in until the engine idles slowly, but smoothly, with no pressure on the throttle lever.

Idle can be controlled with throttle cable tension, but be prepared for the revs to increase with handle bar movement.

The screw has a taper on the end which raises or lowers the carby slide to adjust the height at idle.

You can buy the screw and tap, dont try to bodge one.

yep, other than that's a pic of banshee kit, it shows two screws and you will only receive one. Take your time, easy to fubar carb. 1/2 turn in, back off 1/4 turn to clear chips, etc, etc. Be sure to use cutting oil or something.

Methylated spirit is the prefferred lubricant for alum, but penetrating oil or a very light machine oil will work nearly as well.

Be sure to remove all the swarf and the burr from the inside slide area.
