top/bottom end rebuild

Specifically, what does it mean to rebuild a topend/bottom end? I mean what are the new parts that you have to get. I have the repair manual, so i'll be able to take everything apart and put it back together. its a 2001 blaster. thanks

Rebuild the topend would be replacing the piston an rings an rebuilding the bottom end would be dropping in a new crankshaft an new bearings.

other stuff is done also (sometimes) depending on condition of things.

TOP END
refreshing the cylender by boring (needed if cylender is warn to much) or honing (only freshens up the cylender, will not be bored to the next size up.) and dont forget the wrist pin bearring.

BOTTOM END
also possibley shift forks and or a complete transmission replaced.
