if you don't want to buy them you should be able to go to auto zone and get a set from their loan-a-tool program for free.

What you do is you hit the spindle perpendicular to how the ball joing goes through it and it will pop right out.

Screw the nut back on flush with the end of the stud or you'll hit the stud and f*ck up the threads!

Good idea in case you miss with my method, which I did once. I had the nut on just incase as you mentioned and the part of the stud where it was screwed onto broke right off. All I could think was FML lol.

^ thats the tuning forks i was talking about

LOL. its not a tuning fork, blasterfreek. but your going in the right direction. Its a pickle fork (pitman fork is pretty much the same thing). A tunning fork is used to tune musical instruments.

I think You just called it the wrong name, you had the correct tool.

I cannot believe how great this worked. I was cussing at a set of these damn things for hours. Tried everything I could think of in the garage to get them lose.....searched a bit...found this thread, and proceeded to smack them with the hammer.....off she came quick as you'd please.

Great advice on this one. Saved me a tool and some time. I don't even know why I try to think by myself when I'm working on this Blaster....you guys have already done it all.

This is the way to do it. it won't damage anything. You are hitting the thick metal where the stud goes in not the stud. brass hammer is best.
