throttle cover mod

so i decided to polish my throttle cover today and grinded the yamaha off so its flush. it looks just like the ones on feegay

Looks good but I would not have taken the YAMAHA OFF because it looks sick when it is polished and still has the YAMAHA on it, but different strokes for different oukes

i did mine also but left the yamaha on. i used a wire wheel on my cordless drill and some super fine steel wool. took less than half hour and looks good.

so far about 20 min but its stillgot gome sanding and poishing

i just sanded the yamaha part on mine so just the letters are shiny look neat

it would make a good diy, mabe he can take pics and give a good description on how to, then start another diy thread for it

what else might look nice make it all shiny then go over the yamaha writing in black or some color to match you quad an leave rest shiny then put a clear coat that could look sick

i just did mine the other day. i left the yamaha on but couldnt find the wire brush for the drill so i used a hand held one. i couldnt use samdpaper to get in the letters. it was tough, took about 30min.

im gonna paint the letter and border blue, and it look a bit shinier in person.

are you gonna polish the whole thumb throttle

i dunno. if there are a lot of of detail into it i might not but if it is flat and easy to sand i probably will.
