whats this extra jet? its a 78

my pj has it also, but i never looked to see if it had a number, just figured it went to the choke or airscrew circut < but thats the pilot

just reread the keihin jetting manual, and it never mentions this brass tube

no my pilot jet is sunk down a bit you have to use a skinny flathead to get it. you cant see my pilot in that pic

Its the choke jet. Theres a hole at the back of the carb, air gets sucked through there, which pulls gas out of that jet up into the choke circuit and out through the hole in the front.

Id like to see what carbs you guys have been looking at that have the pilot jet on the side, lol.
