I just went to the inspection BS for my truck today.Everything passed but my headlights .I was told in this state you can't have any after market headlight or taillight.I'm pissed!Now I have to put in my stock lights and waste the money I spent on my custom lights and bulbs.
This state SUCKS!!!!!!!!!

You need to go to a different garage. Here's a link straight from DMV doesn't say anything about aftermarket lights! Fight it that's bull.

So put the stock stuff on and after you pass inspection put the aftermarke stuff back on..........
Here in jersey you have to have a front and rear plate mounted on the bumpers or somewhere near them. I never wanted a front plate on my car so I would pull into the inspection line get the plate out of the trunk velcro it on go through pass the get oot of the car and take it off again LOL........

dam that sucks, not even sure if montana requires headlights sure see enough people drive by cops at night without em on.....
just go to a diffrent place, my freinds truck has darkest tints everything and passes and aftermarket lights and im sure in ny where I am they are just as stricked
Are your headlights D.O.T approved and marked? IF they are you shouldn't have any trouble, I don't have a single factory light on my car and have never had a problem.
