I've been reading and keeping tabs on this forum for about 2 years now. My girlfriend bought a blaster and I was looking for some advice .After she rode her quad for about a week she wanted more power, I searched for the obvious reliable bolt on’s, (Pipe, Filter, Reeds, Jetting) after I was done I couldn't believe the power! it keeps right up with my KFX 400, and I instantly fell in love.
Needless to say I bought one for myself, it was a great deal, 1991 for $500.00w/ .40 bore and some other little modifications, but the downside is they weren’t performed/maintained well. I was thinking about doing a complete rebuild, but the girl wants it to be the loner quad, I know I already have a great quad “KFX” but I love 2 strokes and was looking for some advice.
Should I just leave the poor blaster alone/ fix it up for others to ride, or should I just go crazy and make it my Blasty mic Blast Blast from hell. Can’t decide. HELP!!

asking us here you already know the answer your gonna get.. deck that thing out and put the bigger bikes to shame...
and welcome to the site if you've been around awhile you know how it works pics or it never happend..
lets see em man..

Thanks, i figured as much. the only real problem is that i have alot of projects going on at once.
That and i have no money LOL.
I am going to be doing little things to it, and have already installed some after market lights to it. but i've run into a bit of a snag. the previous owner decided that wires are stupid or something and felt they looked better with lots of splices/ electrical tape.
I was wondering does anyone know of a colored schematic i could use?

Welcome to the site bro. Keep the Blaster and do it up as you can. I bought a Blaster for my wife but I call it mine and from the thing these guys and gals have done to there Blaster I am going to get one for myself.

I have 3 projects going now but I do what I can when I can to each.

As for a colored wiring diagram I never saw one but I know in the back of my Blaster servive manual there is a complete diragram and tell you the colors of the wires.

No f*cking way..
I was about to buy that bike! I live in Mt. Shasta aswell. Glad you swooped on it before me after hearing this. But this is pretty ironic though. :o

i wanna see pics! make it yours man, and just go one step at a time as you can afford it, i'd personally start on the suspension and then start doing the same things as you did on the gf's bike, pipe and whatnot

i say get some porting, a sexy right bend pipe and some suspension work. oh and most importantly dont EVER EVER EVER say "blastey mic blast blast" again lol :D
