Yes I still need to trim them. I'm gonna do a thread if my before and after pics here shortly.

Actually I didn't trim them. I was able to fan dangle bolts to the original mounts on the side. When doing so it pulled the heel guards in. I was going to trim them because they were sticking out past the tires. Now they aren't. I'm glad I didn't trim them.
