I just bought a blaster for my daughter. I ride dirt bikes and never owned a quad. I want to make the quad as safe as possible. I bought wheel widening spacers and now looking into extended swing arm. This is for trail riding, there are a lot of whoops where we ride and want to try to stabilize it. Should I extend the swing arm? If so how much longer? I found 2 inch bolt on extension kit with everything I need, is that a good route to go? If not I also found i can extend the swing arm myself, I am a good fabricator and welder so no problem but I don't know how long to make it.

The advantage to a extended swing arm is that you can be more aggresive without it lifting up. Like when launching out the whole for instance. On a stock blaster +2 is plenty for her. I wouldnt imagine shes smash the throttle asking for trouble anyways. +2 is a good extension.

I ran the +2 swingarm extention on my bike for about a year. I rode aggressive in the trails. I do not jump high. I never had any problems.

Thank you for the reply. Yeah sounds like 2 in would be enough. She is a beginner and doesn't gas it much so not sure I will bother extending it if it only helps on hole shot. I thought it might help over the whoops or even help keep it straighter if she does get it sideways. Does it help at all with those?

Thanks for the info. Sounds like I should just leave it stock at least for now. We also ride in a lot of sand so I want to make sure it hooks up. Just put the wheel spacers on, looks like they will work out great.
