Havent seen many people talk about it on here so i figured id start a thread about it. Whats everybodies opinion on the swine flu?
Personally i think this is being way blown out of proportion. One baby has died in the U.S. so far, and it was from Mexico. On another forum somebody posted that 7 people have died so far from the swine flu, 13000 have died from the regular flu this year. I think its ridiculous that kids might have the swine flu, so they have to shut the school down immediately and clean it. I know i will be seriously pissed if somebody somehow gets it at my school and it gets shut down for a while. The last thing i want to do is waste my summer in school. Most likely it will be like the bird flu. Everybody gets all scared, worried, upset, and next thing you know its gone and not talked about. Its amazing just how scared people are getting though. People are storing up on food, staying away from pork, and buying a lot of masks. Some stores are making money by setting up like stands with the face masks and people are buying them like candy. Hopefully this little scare will pass soon so the media can blow something else out of proportion.
