sup guys ! this guy said he would swap this yamaha yfz 450 swop or cash for sale in Galway: €2,200 - DoneDeal.ie for my blasty , ps3 and €150 .. i know it looks a bit rough lol but fox shocks and im not sure of the a-arms but i know there a/m ! just wondering what you think ? IF i do get it i'd respray,HMF pipe,new tyres and new plastics ... what do yall think ? B)

yea he said that , fonnd a set of front yfz beadlocks for €150 near!

I sure would not buy it for haveing fox shocks. I see a huge money pit. If you buy a 4 stroke you best make sure its in top condition or it will break anyones bank quickly.

I dont know what the market price is where you live but its way cheaper to buy one here thats in excellant condition than to try and fix it up.

Well theres no chain there (which is he putting on and new sprockets too?), no rear brakes... It looks like it was stored in a pond for 3 years... It looks pretty beat up for an 07 ! Those tires are not new... Maybe they were 3 years ago. Who did the rebuild, and what was rebuilt??? Ask for receipts because if done wrong it could be more costly.

It does have MGC a Arms which are nice.... And those Fox are pretty nice too.

What swingarm is that?? Steering stem is aftermarket too.

I see lots off goods and bads.... And as far as YFZ's go the 07 is the way to go... Lots of upgrades to the stock machine as opposed to the older ones.

I bought a brand new YFZ, and fixed it up.... Its much nicer than the "project race quad my son has"

I know you realy want a 450 but you have to stop and think. What's is the total cost.not just to buy it but the cost of fixing it.think about the down time for doing the repairs.I know it's easy to get over excided and not think it out. Just make sure your not going to be sorry you did it a month or two from now.

yup new chain and sprockets! not sure of the brakes weather it was just putting new pads or something but ill use that as an excuse to bargin! so roughly how much would all the a/m stuff be worth as i would sell it to bring the bike back to tip top condition! lol ( and buy used stock)

Its really hard to say without looking into it... The MGC a arms are a prized item for Cross country racers, and very nice... If you need to sell those for stockers.... The stem could be a nice seller (if its not twisted or splines damaged). If you sell the arms for stockers you would be selling the axle too.... Not a bad seller if you are returning to stock... That will give you the chance to check out the bearing and carrier while doing the axle swap...

Personally its alot of work undoing the mods mentioned, and you will not know what other headaches you get into trying to "undo" someones disaster...

Value is really hard to determine on parts and a machine without actually looking at it.. Its hard to determine what the market for parts in your country is like.

I would check around the forums, and use that to get an idea what its worth at this time.

Make sure you can ride it before you buy it... Also remember that anything can be fixed, but a 4 stroke may cost you more $$$$ thana 2 stroke especially when it comes to engine work..

In my experience.... You get what you pay for, and cheap is not always the way to go especially in the ATV market.


Im not trying to be a jerk about this at all.... I would love for you to go there looking at it as an educated buyer....

true , this is just my way of getting into the 450 zone lol the nicest yfz is for sale for 2600 but i cannot afford this as all i have is what ever my blasty,ps3 and psp is worth ! and he said he will take the ps3 and blasty as a trade in .... i was getting an xbox anyways lol

Just be careful.... Go into it with eyes open, and be ready to nit pick... You may be able to find enough easy fixes to get him down even lower or find enough wrong to decide this is not the one for you....
